Bright lights, energizing sounds, bustling activity, and a plethora of people set the stage for an evening of fun with friends! After being greeted by the Dave & Buster’s staff, our members and survivors made their way to our table for a night of dinner and games.
Seeing how tight knit our group has become over the last year has been one of the most exciting parts of these events. Each month, the same core group returns and has become very comfortable with each other. Our time together is more like that of a large family, where we all share stories, catch up and enjoy each others company.
This month, we were excited to welcome a new member, Kathleen, to our group. Kathleen is now our youngest member and a high school senior who just turned 18. Her infectious personality was a perfect compliment to our group.
Over dinner, we started talking about a few members upcoming Life Adventures and everyone brainstormed some Group Event ideas for the year. As soon as we all finished up, Alex – a car fanatic – pitched the idea of kicking off game night with a group racing game.
The competition heated up quickly between Brittany and Cassandra, and in the end, Cassandra took home first place! Skee-ball and Fruit Ninja were also a big hits and gave out a lot of tickets.
Thanks to Dave & Buster’s, we were able to play simulator rides, air hockey, racing games, and all other non-ticket games for free all night long! By the end of the evening Amber won the most tickets with over 2,000 and everyone kept saying how awesome the night had been!
We would sincerely like to thank everyone at Dave & Buster’s for making this group event possible and so much fun! We’ve got another group event coming up soon, so follow us on our social media channels for the latest updates!
