Last Thursday night the Live For Today members, survivors, family and friends met up at Bragan Field to cheer on the Jacksonville Sun’s at our third group event. After handing out some brand new t-shirts, koozies and decals to our members we found our seats along the first base line right behind the dugout. Not only are Thursday nights “College Night” at the stadium, it’s also known as “Thirsty Thursday” which brings out a lively, fun crowd full of young adults. While the exciting crowd, hot dogs, cotton candy and game were all great, the best part of the night was getting to meet some new faces, like Whitney, our newest survivor, as well as a few family members and friends.
We would sincerely like to thank everyone at the Jacksonville Sun’s (especially Theresa) for making this group event awesome and would also like to thank one of Live For Today’s biggest supporters, Elaine, for helping to set everything up and arranging these great tickets for us. Congratulations to the Sun’s on their 6-1 WIN, we can’t wait to come cheer you all on again soon!
